hello, im just working on my cooling system and i need a 16mm to 19mm reduced to connect the water pump to the expansion tank. any ideas where i can get 1 from? thanks
i used copper for all mine. 16mm is a 15mm pipe with an olive compressed on, 19mm is not far off the outside of a 15mm solderring fitting. Its a bit of a bodge but it gets the job done. Mine lasted many trackdays with a lot worse things done than that! Such as a 28mm fitting soldered inside a 35mm pipe!
As you only need a small decrease in size, how about wrapping some self-amalgamating tape arount the smaller spigot?
if you get a small piece of stainless 16mm tube and a piece of 19mm x 1,5mm tube it should be easy to get it working..
Tks
Merlin Motorsport do these...
19mm - 16mm reducer
or are you looking for a ali reducer??

Turn the above Merlin part upside down and it will be an increaser then!! "Samco" will of course be not so easy to read though!!!

Now a 19 to 16 is a reduction
