Type 9 Gearbox filling/lever hole location

Please, can anybody mark to the photo location of gearbox filling/lever hole plug? I little bit confused but on Haynes manual is very bad photo and I cannot find it!

You have got it in your first pic mate!!! With the car on a level you need to fill the box so that the oil is just about to overflow the filler plug.

The plug you have pointed out is the level plug. Probably going to be very tight so use a decent allen key and if needed a piece of pipe as an extension. Make sure you use the correct oil

This method has never worked for me because, when i fit my engine & gearbox I drop all of the oil because of the angle it has to go in at (mine wont fit from below) so I have modified my top cover to have a fill hole, nice & easy

How do you check you have the correct oil level then?? I always filled mine in the car through the filler plug shown. Access is pretty tight in the transmission tunnel but not so hard as to make the job impossible

Because the box is empty, its done on the quantity i put in.
