Quaife ATB Group Buy Update (NEW DEAL!)
Apologies for posting a fresh thread but I am keen to get this sorted for those who are interested and perhaps some others may have missed the
original thread.
You may have seen the original thread here:
http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=101246
Here's the info regarding the new deal which is a lot more likely to happen in the current climate:
Ok the "new deal" is as follows. Minimum order is only 3 units and you can pay directly via credit card once its been setup but it must
all be pretty much at the same time as the order will be placed as one.
We're currently only looking at the 7inch Sierra push in (QDF15Z) and English *22 teeth* ATB's. If you want something different (and
think you know 2 other people who want one) let me know and I'll enquire.
The "old" (and now looking quite unfeasible) deal included for comparison was with Quaife and required a minimum total order of 15 units.
Although at the first show of hands I had >20 interested parties when it came to a firmer committment the numbers have dwindled somewhat. So the
new MOQ of 3 deal is looking the favourite.
7inch Sierra ATB for push in drive shafts (QDF15Z)
Retail is £550+VAT = £632.50, 20% off = £506
New deal is £490+VAT = £563.50 (~12% discount)
English (Mk1/2 Escort) (22 teeth spline halfshafts ONLY - please check!) (QDF5Z/22)
Retail is £450+VAT = £517.50, 20% off = £414
New deal is £356+VAT = £409.40 (= cheaper than previous deal)
I know the discount on the Sierra unit doesn't look like much but its very difficult to get decent discounts on any Quaife stuff.
I really would like to get this sorted in the next two weeks, so please email or U2U me if you're seriously interested.
I definitely want a Sierra 7" ATB so as soon as we have 2 more people confirmed that GB can go ahead, if we get more then more discount is a
possibility but we don't *need* 15 this time...

Quick update now this has been cross posted on to Blatchat (thanks John).
If anyone on there (or here!) wants to email me about this then please use:
quaife@hobbsy.co.uk
(to save you having to register on here in order to get my email or U2U me).
As I said above I'm looking to wrap it up in the next 7 to 10 days.
I've also posted it on eBay to drum up a further interest:

You don't have to bid on this in order to participate though - your word is good enough (but expect me to cuss you if you mess me around! )

I've given up on this.
If anyone wants the info for a 3 diff group buy or also where to go to get a single diff at a discount then please U2U me.
On reflection I should've just bought my own diff back in November as it would've been cheaper as they've put the prices up at least
once since.
Always knew it would be tricky this time of year and in this financial climate but you can't blame me for trying...

Hobbsy - I think there are a number of us on here grateful for your efforts. I guess timing isn't great as you say. Shame, as I think you
negotiated a good price. Good lcuk with yours and thanks again.

as twybrow said... it is shame about the timing but can see you've gone to a lot of effort.
i'm still trying to find a 3.38 diff. even going to the point of seeing if i can get a one off crown wheel and pinion made up to go in one of
the open diffs i've got.
