Supra twin turbo?

Just been around to the local scrap yard. They've just brought in a Supra twin turbo for bailing. Stolen recovered and writen off with just wing, bonnet and interior damage. He says its not worth the effort to strip it.

It's a runner and if anybody is interested in the engine/box/diff/running gear let me know quick and it could be salvaged.

if it was closer I would be so up for that! Is he suggesting he would let it go for almost nothing?

I can't believe that there is no value in stripping it. Is it manual if so the the gearbox is meant to be bullet proof (ie stick a twin turbo lexus engine and woohoo).

I am after a cheap SR20DET S14 and manual box and electrics but cant find any cheap ones unless they have inter-galactic mileages or a distinct smell of dodginess. I will wait....

He said it was a shame to just bail it but thats what he was going to do as they didn't have time or space to do anything else! They pull the engine and box out and they go in a container to Africa/Asia paid by the tonne and the rest decontaminated and crushed.

Of course if someone shows interest he's going to what redies for it but it's not going to be a lot.

I assumed it was a manual but didn't look to be honest.
