Ok maybe its not that rough but needs some TLC, anyone know the car? That roll bar coming forward and into the passenger footwell would have to go.

Petty-strut removal is straightforward enough.

The Stack unit is a nice bit of kit and would have cost someone a lot of money!

It's certainly worth an email to the seller to get the full spec... and DO push him for the full spec!

That was on PH the other month.. I do like the looks of the F-27 and on a plus note its got a hood. Ideal for those wet damp days that are coming in. and the price is nice

Whats the F27 like weight wise?

Is there a good/bad blade engine or a preffered one?

The F27 is a decent car if well built and can be set up to be quick on the corners. It's one of the lighter weight cars.

Engine wise most of the blade engines are good - the later and more powerful the better but they are only any good for going fast in a straight line. It's the going round corners which is the tricky bit and that car if well set up with a good driver should be pretty quick

the question is are you good enough to get the performance out of it?

I was tempted to go and look at this a while back when it was on pistonheads (was at 6k). I have since bought a factory built F27 blade, same age as this one and I'm quite impressed. I've got a 919 engine in mine and it goes well. It seems a bit skittish, but since I've let the tyre pressures well down (see other thread) it is sooooo much better. I won't tell you what I paid for mine, but this is a great buy at 4.5k, especially with the stack dash too.

Ref the exhaust on the wrong side, it is a very strange setup, after previously building a Westfield Megablade. It has got 2 nasty pretty much 90 degree bends in it! But the bore is much larger than my megablade exhaust (I'm assuming to compensate). It does pop n bang really well on the overrun, which I think is also down to the amount of red hot exhaust pipe before the can!

He's probably used the original bikes downpipes which run under the engine...

Could do with an under bonnet shot, if it's not a factory build, whoever built it copied the factory dash layout.

Yep, they do. Take a look at my photo archive. Can reach them easy with a four point harness holding me in (and I ain't mr tickle). Indicators/horn & main/dipped switch are around the steering wheel in easy reach. I must admit though, I'm not a fan of the layout and if I decide to keep the car long term I'll be ripping the dash out.
