How much!!?
You could get a zetec and tune it for less than that with more power...

i bought my 2.1 pinto from Vulcan ad its the 165bhp spec. put a limiter on it to run it in and it does not run the full 165 bhp yet but does it
perform
timed at 0 to 60 4.5 secs two up
just reminded my self that ive done the required miles so i can turn the revs up to 7600 fro 6000
i'd recomend a good pinto... sorry boat anchor

Whilst there are cheaper, newer engines, what would it cost to get a 2.0 litre Pinto to the spec he's got?

Yes possably good for a Pinto, but an almost standard Zetec will make 160, with a great deal less being spent on it, and will still coble on the same
gear box. Cheers Ray

I would imagine to build a Pinto to that specification it would cost considerably more, so if you have a pinto and are thinking of upping the power
this has to be a cost and time effiecent way of doing it.

Yes it would, and after all, you don't HAVE to accept the buy-it-now price!
I believe you can make an offer.
