Jacko, Quick change the title to 'Scootz, don't look' or something. You are a bad man. You know what'll happen....
ETA Unless of course you're planning to buy it off him.

well its clearly a Tasman lola lotus mclaren, driven by Colin McRae, and the model is a hillclimb track historic surtees chevron begg legrand, as per
the title
Scott, if you still had that Audi V8 and transaxle...
i really want something with an Audi V8
he says he doesn't know who made it, but it does have Mac Rae stamped across the front... MacRae does seem to have been a F5000
manufacturer...
out of any pictures i've seen on google images of MacRae F5000 though, none have a roll hoop like this.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I'm as big a sucker as anyone for old single seaters, but I can honestly think of nothing good to say about that.
Magnesium uprights, whcih are probably only good to look at.
Rotten dampers and brake parts.
Very old chassis.
ZF gearbox FFS.
(FFS isn't a model number......)
If it were an old F3 car, that would be an entirely different matter.

Having worked on a Mclaren (Trojan) F5000, attended races in the pits in the US and Canada, and scrutineered F1 cars at Mosport in the 60's I
have no idea what that is! Most of F5000 cars had ali tubs, not tube construction.
