Is this guy having a laugh?

click me

He says we all know the price crossflows go for. I have sent him an email asking if he would consider changing the price to a more sensible level as the last complete, fully rebuilt engine went for £52. Do you think it will need a rebore as it had rust in one bore that he has 'cleaned up' ?

I was expecting something exorbitant.

if a complete fully built engine cost 52 quid, surely that was a screaming bargain! A set of pistons must cos way more than a 100 quid alone.

as someone thats never bought , or likely to buy, a 1600 crossflow, 100 quid doesnt seem too high.

just buy some bits for it like camshaft, crank, shells, whatever, and 100 quid for the engine would seem cheap

it need a rebuild though (or at least he recommends one).

either way, his auction would finish much higher if he started lower
