Air con... that's gonna sap the rest of the power the mini has. I have had 998cc mini's faster than those newer 1275 jobbies, too damn heavy. There was a mini in one of the mags that has so much stuff on it it was double the kerb weight.

You gotta love em though.

I bought a brand new mini in, I think it was 1960, £450 over the counter. Those were the day's.

Can you imagine the look on the original owners face when you tell him you're going to strip it back to a shell, skip the engine, the interior and the air con and stick a 1300cc screaming jap bike engine in the boot, with nitrous and a turbo!

Priceless.
