i think the buyers biggest problem will be people complaining on here, to be honest  Provided the original is gone, and the new one at least works
and carries the right numbers in the right places, and has a correct v5, wheres the problem?

Maybe, but woodster suggests his lawyer got involved, so it's quite likely plod and/or DVLA have had a complaint at some point.
