Why dont you send him an email enquiring about the engine bay sizes as you want to fit a bike engine to one or a V8????

I thought Dinky toys were smaller than that. Looks more Triang.

Now that would go nicely with a bike engine under the bonnet
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

But wouldn't pay £5k for it.

A neighbour has a seven special - looks like it goes fast, but a healthy 2CV can see it off!
0 - 30 comes up pretty fast, but anything faster requires patience, a following wind and, ideally, a downward slope.
Tons of fun though.
