Have also seen it fitted to a ford sierra 4x4)

that must have been an easy fit especially when this is designed for a metro or was the Sierra also a litt car. Me thinks he saw a real Audi TT

car pc's are a v good idea all you need is a smallish pc with a touch screen and hey presto massive music storage and video, along with a huge amount of screen displays.

heres 1 from another forum I use note the very clever mounting of the pc itself

1) buy bodyshell

2) buy computer

3) buy amp

someone getting a bit carried away before they've even started and putting the cart before the horse??

The only problem I can see with the "Car PC" is the hard disk. My past experience of running hard disks in moving cars is that they don't enjoy the experience.... Oh well!!!

lots and lots of soft foam packing, like you say they may be rated to high g's when the heads parked but they just skim the disk surface when running. Plenty of scratches no doubt

You could run from an 8 gig or larger USB key drive, solid state so no vibration problems and they are coming down in price all the time.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
