don't loose faith in ebay

I know that a lot of sniping goes on on ebay these days, but I collected the barriest of all barry bargains last night..

I was away last weekend and put a random bit of £10on on thursday, max auto bid £40 on a vauxhall xe block. to my suprise i won it for £10! collected it last night and the guy asked if i wanted the other bits he had left chucked in. by the seems of things i've got nearly a complete engine (in bits) minus the head! block, crank, pistons, rods, cams, sump, cam cover are all nicely in the boot of my car

in the same round trip to swindon i also picked up my t5 gearbox!

[in the style of the e-sure adverts] i love ebay, i love ebay [/in the style of the e-sure adverts]

Nice one Ned - I still buy on Ebay all the time, and bargains can be had. Mind you, your not gonna go wrong if you can pick up the goods personally and pay cash.

I buy everything wih my Amex on Ebay now, as they offer great protection, I've already had once item I paid £350 refunded to my account, as it arrived not as described, and I've still got the goods which I can still sell for £250+!!

I agree. I also put alot of "random bids" up on ebay for like $1 US rarely I actually win one, but some times you never know. I am bidding on 4 rear axles right now, so far 3 out of the 4 have gone over what I would consider reasonable, but one is still at $1, with only 5 days left.

Some bargains can be had on ebay,BUT for as many a bargain there is also the withdraw of item due to said item not being available anymore.

Sometimes its worth paying the extra money just to get what you want new.
