The Lidl version did come with cantilevered arm for the extra £fiver.

Any experience from those who have actually used this (or the Lidl one)?

3mm cable sounds mighty fragile!


Would be using for lifting engines/gearboxes

Weston Pulley Block (Chain Winch) Every time!

Cheap reliable, requires no power, and lifts 1 ton, and only needs a squirt of oil / WD40 every now and then to prevent any rust from forming.


And Cheaper too at £32
Electric winch is blingy... Chain winch is a mans tool in comparison




EDIT:
I wouldn't buy one of those chain winches with the ratchet arm / handle. The best one is with the continuous chain for the operating mechanism, not the ratchet arm. (Well thats my view!)

This one on Eaby is only £7 at the moment with 2 days to go and £5.50 postage Located in Leominster if you happent to live close by it free postage.
BTW... its NTDWM
