And it's a diesel, lovely little car though. I did some welding on one for a neighbour back in the 80s to save it from the scrapyard and you
wouldn't even think of scrapping one now.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do not let this guy decide to build a Locost. If he started regularly posting on here it would drive me round the bend ! ( and
one or two others, I suspect !).
PLEASE!
Kind regards
Jon

Only 25 odd bhp with petrol, hate to think what hp would come out if fiat did a 500cc diesel
I had a "proper" 500 for my first road legal car when I was 17 - painted it black with flames down the side!

I beg to differ from your opinion by quite a lot.
I know a few people that are trades persons macs joiners and an electrician who suffer dyslexia quite severely.
In fact that eBay add gets up my nose more than most...
And to exclude him from building a lowkost jibe....
Well I suffered till I found a teacher and the tech available made it a lot easier.
Don't think you would think of excluding me would you.
People who sit in offices write about people who do the job.
I couldn't write for poo but my designs and skills wipe the floor of many grads.
Took me a bit longer to crunch the paper parts but I got there.
Age 7 I could wire a house age 8 to 9 I could use a skill saw table saw and bandsaw. @ 11 I was taught stick welding
@ 6 I was taught to drive a manual beetle.
It took 20 years before I got certificates when I found a Teacher who gave a real lesson.
I would buy that car because reading between the lines that is his masterpiece.
He can swing spanners and weld but the man can't write. I know what he means.
Been there myself.
Plenty of office types as for help here and we don't make fun of the clueless spanner office men.
We help them !!!
All that guy needs is a little more coaching and a tattoo with f7 on his finger.
Now am I excluded!!!!

A son of a friend of mine who had a lorry repair yard had difficulty spelling his own name the same way twice in a row but he has been successfully
welding and building engines and gearboxes since he was 12. As I said, it's a lovely car and surely if you were thinking of buying it
you'd go and see it in the flesh before forming an opinion on the quality. I think the little diesel engines used in Aixam cars would go well
with the 500 but it would be sacrilege to change one.
yours, Pete
