Anyone else seen this?
Have seen this for sale on ebay now for about the last 4-5months. Has been "the last chance" for about the last month. Claims only to need
an exhaust manifold but would have thought if that much money had gone in after a couple of months on ebay you'd just pay to get it finished!
What do people think its real value is? I think I have seen it drop from originally £18,000!?

You have to wonder why it's not finished. It's 90% complete.
I think the advert doesn't do it any favours.
Good spec but incomplete so really reduces the price. I spent £1000 getting mine thought the iva.

The advert is appalling!
I'd want a little more detail on the chassis myself, since "power is nothing without control"

Wow that has come down in price !
Still not worth it in my opinion
Nearly £10k on a car that's not road legal and probably needs another £1k spending on it for the exhaust and other bits.
Bet it's quick though !

Too expensive for an unfinished car that still requires an IVA and as pointed out, the spelling and grammar is appalling.
Any really decent selller would make the effort to at least create a decent advert.
Offer him/her 5 to 6 grand.

ITS A LOCOST
so even 5-6k is pushing top prices, i wouldnt even value mine at 4k, and its road legal
adding lots of bling to a car does not increase its selling price to 9.5k

I really could not bring myself to even look further
Yes it's a Locost with a turbo Hayabusa and that is what it's worth the combination of both values
What would we say? 2k for an unfinished untested Locost and 4k for the engine
That said I would want it stripped and looked at by someone who knows that type of engine before I part with cash

It was originally up for 20k I think n ye it never sells.
I guess the main money is in the engine without that its not worth a grand lol
Plus the diff which is supposed to have been altered to take a light car with high power?? I thought quaiffe diff would do that as standard .....
Ps good morning all. On route to Norwich

If its 90 % complete and is the best "Locost Megabusa available" (whatever a locost megabusa is?) why wouldn't you finish it ? The
bodywork is appaling, you can see the chassis rails below the side panels, never seen it done like that before.
Looks like about £800 worth of chassis and about £5000 worth of engine to me and the literacy in the ad would make me run a mile by itself !
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

There is no point in IVA ing it. That thing would be lethal on the british roads.
450 bhp through a live axle, drum braked rear end with 17" alloys! The unsprung/sprung weight ratio at the rear would have the average driver
wrapped round the first tree. Particularly if his driving skills are on a par with his language skills.
I'm guessing he spannered it together, took it for a spin, and scared himself s^*+less.

I doubt it would go far (or fast) without a manifold and exhaust.
Certainly is 'for sale by dreamer'

Putting aside all the grammatical errors and the nightmare that would be IVA, does anyone else think that it's just not a pretty car? The air
intake seems to be very out of place, the 'bling' inside the car is not exactly to my tastes, even the rear lights just don't seem
to work with the car.

Yes I thought that bonet bulge looked like a cut down baby bath!!! that and the general finish doesn't warrent the price tag he has on it.....

For 9.5k I'd at least want 4 wheel bolt in each wheel!!
Chuck the bonnet away and the gold bling and it could be a nice little car, at 3.5k !

An English axle with a 3.38 ratio? Really?
It's worth little more than the engine's value in my opinion - although if that is a 3.38 ratio diff that must've cost a bloody mint
as it can only be from a limited run of CWPs.

But it's been altered.......

I thought the orange down the side was graphics, now it looks like it's the chassis rail
Sounds like he p/ex'd a car for it, then realised what he'd got (or hadn't as it seems).

he_dax_factor.html
if i remember right the guy that bought it had a number of issues with the way it was built (like not being able to get full throttle as the pedal
ratio was wrong....)
I had a good look at it myself (stoneleigh show) - it wasn't badly built, but it was hardly the 'ultimate dax rush' he billed it as
some of the little that I've done to my dax is better than that thing IMHO, but I'd still never claim to have the best one ever - apart
from anything else I've seen better rush's outside at stoneleigh the same year! (never mind some of the locosts, etc....)
