Not sure exactly how auction sniper works but surely as with all auctions, whoever is prepared to pay the most usually wins the auction.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that if I was prepared to pay say £100 on an item (and set my Maximum bid accordingly) that was currently at £75 with a few minutes left to go, it wouldn't matter if a bid sniper came in with a few seconds left. My max bid would outbid the sniper and I'd still win the item. Or does bid sniper work in a different way?

Auction sniper just puts a bid in for you up to 3 seconds from the end of the auction. So if someone had a higher bid they would still win. Dave probably meant what would happen if 2 people had auction sniper set to the same amount. There is some FAQs on the auction sniper website and it tells you what would happen on there, i have read it before but forgot how it works exactly.

Cortina Uprights

Might be easier to go out in the night with a portable angle grinder, a jack and a few bricks. Anyone know where there's a Cortina? I wouldn't do it to a Locost.

still got the MK wishbones, and will have a pair of uprights, hubs and some discs (calipers too, but will need a rebuild).

If you're interested, drop me a pm mate.

Cheers,

Mike
