Much better to get hard valve seats fitted, than keep throwing lead into the environment unnecessarily.
Cheaper in the long run too.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

It's phosphorous based lead replacement, not lead. The lead is not allowed any more that's why people are looking for replacements.
You'd have to do a lot of mileage to make taking the head off and replacing the seats a cheaper alternative.

S'not possible to fit hardened seats to all heads anyway, 'specially if they've bigger valves than standard fitted

I use valvemaster plus - the one with the octane booster. Buy it in 6 bottle lots from MG owners club for £50 - saves a tenner on his price.
