most interesting - what does the second spark plug give you? redundancy in case one failsi n the air? (as well as quicker combustion).
be intersting to see the igntion (i.e. distributor) system.

More than likely. Planes have to be as reliable as possible.
If i won the lottery i would have it in my back garden and start it up to scare the cats!!

Yep, in case one set fails, one of the pre and post flight checks normally is to make sure both magnetos are working.
My granda's got an Auster J1 Autocrat that used to have a rover v8 in it, there's a picture of it somewhere on the internet, the home made
cowling really makes it look wierd, he's trying to put a diesel engine in it at the minute, as Avgas is about £1.30 a litre
