They have steel chain and sprockets AFAIK? Are you confusing it with the old Essex engine that used to regularly strip their fibre timing gear?



Nope - the OEM on RV8's (pre 1994(?) had nylon teeth (which have a tendancy to strip) RV8 Timing Gear
