I know a guy who is always getting pulled by the BiB. He drives his dads/mams cars and they include a newish 911, an X5, new Nissan pimp wagon thing
and a few others. All the cars are covered under a fleet policy and as such, arn't on the database. And he's a knuckle dragging
skinhead....

Didn't check on the database, but MU57ANG is on a grey mustang, followed it past the Metro centre on the A1 Friday night.

My son was stopped and detained by police for 20 minutes en route to MK last Saturday until they contacted CIS to confirm he was insured.
I rang CIS on Tuesday and bent the ear of the guy on the other end of the phone to tell him how annoyed I was that a system like ANPR, which I approve
of, was being let down by companies who can't get cars on the MID inside 3 months.
Just checked now......
STILL not on there!!!!
Lucky they are closed today.

If they've got a fleet policy then they have to enter the cars covered (within 14 days I think) by the policy onto the MID themselves. Thier
insurers should give them an access number to do this. It's an offence not to do it with a big fixed fine!

few years ago i got pulled driving a company vehicle that wasn't taxed (my bosses - he knew when he lent me the car it wasn't taxed but
didn't say & i didn't check).
Anyway, it was on company insurance and wasn't on the computer. I almost wet myself when i was pulled, then almost did it again when they said
no insurance.
I explained about the company (very large multinational), it was registered to them etc etc and they let me go with a producer.
Got fined 50 quid for the tax disk, company got fined "undisclosed amount" and never heard anything since.
