Bargains to be had in Woolies?

According to the news, Woolworths have failed to find a buyer so the closing down sale will start either today or tomorrow - some bargain pick'n'mix to be had perhaps?

A real shame for the staff but .....

A placibo fan I see.

Remember watching them live a couple of years ago.

You could tell the guys from the girls by only one thing.

Girls had black lipstick and nail varnish on, guys had pink - and of course the manditory system of the down black hoodie.

Great gig.

As i work for Surrey Police i have passed on this serious information to the comanding officer who has deployed a crack squad of un-trained armed support officers to your location. Stealing a sweetie from Woolworths is a serious offence so if you see a load of gun men behind you...Don't run!!!!!!!

Big Debt??

I recall reading recently that Woolies were £240 Million in debt.

No-one wants to buy that!!

Going to be tough on their staff; I heard there were 30,000 of them!

I would love to go in and grab myself a few bargains, but I really feel that it's against the dilema of the poor souls who may be on the Dole list by Xmas!

Just my personal view...

It's ironic that Woolies made thier name in the great depression! Meanwhile Wilkinsons are doing well selling basically the same stuff.

Having been an IT hardware supplier to Woolies for the past few years I have to say their demise has come as no surprise. Lots of chiefs with differing agendas resulting in a chaotic organisation. If you look at most stores (no disrespect to the store colleagues) they're a bit of a shambles with poorly stocked shelves and badly grouped merchandise.

Certainly tough for the employees set to be out of work, but the "survivial of the fittest" rule applies to the company.
