Is this a bargain?
Its miles to my local BOC depot, but to my delight a local trawler supply company has started up as a satelite depot. I went to get some gas today and
entered an Aladins cave of useful stuff.
I bought 5m of glass exhaust lagging tape for £1.25 per metre, it is 50mm wide and 5mm thick (ideal for deSVAing exhaust clamps). I also got 2m of
1" x 1/2" self adhesive closed cell foam for sealing my bonnet/scuttle, and some 1" x 1/4" for the nosecone/bonnet. These were
less than a Fiver for both!

Mark a word of caution, this stuff works real well, to the extent that the heat moves further along the pipe, so expect unwrapped pipe to get extra
extra hot, hot enough and more to knacker glass filled silencers and mild steel pipes tend to rust under it as well, you can only use it once coz it
hardens.
On the plus side iyt does do what it says on the tin,
as for bargain...it cost us over £600 to wrap the headers on a race Tuscan..
yep you guessed it Demon Turds again...
