Says low miles but no indication what "low miles" are. That is your first question to ask.

if you read the questions asked it says there was an interior fire and it destroyed the instruments - i think this indicates it might be a bit dodgy

Rip off if you ask me, crashed Focuses can be had for less or say £1500 then sell bits on to get the engine for much less or free.

Not entirely true, dont tar all ebay sellers with the same brush.
I have sold over 100 engines at work on ebay and have never had a return or complaint, some have been from fire damaged cars and some have been
without history or anywhere near verified mileages , an honest approach to the description is al that is needed.
It aint all dodgy on ebay!

At 57 plate, it wouldn't have an MOT, the insurer will probably have kept the service record.
He sounds pretty honest if you see his response to the 1600 focus ?.
As for is it a reasonable price, I can't comment....
