Anyone making an exoskeleton car needs to check this ad
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1219431.htm
Just needs a chassis according to the advert - which people on here could knock up pretty easy I bet!

Love the way he's sort of arranged the pile of bits so that with a bit of imagination you can just about see it being an Atom.
It says it's 15 miles South of Glasgow.
It also says it's in North Lanarkshire.
One of those two statements is wrong.
Anyway, I'm in North Lanarkshire.
I wonder where the 'car' is.

Too late! I've already built one!
mmmmm £5000 buys a lot of parts.
Mine cost £20k but that is everything new.
The Motaliera could have been built for £10K from secondhand parts.
Trust me, this sort of chassis is more labour intensive than it looks.

I agree it's not a simple build, however seeing some of the cracking work that locosters can produce makes it more than plausable.
I bet it is a cat b write off and the breakers is selling off the parts they can, if you spoke nicely they might let you have the old chassis for
dimensions and just cut the vin out.
Intersting all the same.

Looks like there is no front end, centre tub or nosecone so copying would not be an option.

Seems an expensive way of doing it by buying that lot!
im no expert but the only thing I can see being used is the engine - surely building a chassis to fit suspension and parts you already have is a
compromise? (unless you can copy the original chassis lol)

You can get the k20a running gear for around 2.5k so your paying the other 2.5k for dampers hubs and a few other bits.
If it had the atom seats floor and a bit more of the bodywork it would be a good buy.
Im looking along these lines for my next car but haven't decided for sure yet!
