don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I must too have some rusty old nails in the shed that I can put on ebay. Didn't realise that they were worth so much. I only need to sell one
and I'll have enough money to finish the MK........

i thought it was serious until:

definitely a p-take.
also you have to consider that 400 years takes you back to the beginning of time for Americans. They can't even imagine the history of artefacts
like stonehenge or hadrian's wall.

Fella obviously needs a good kicking.
BTW I have some rocks in the garden that I reckon are millions of years old, put his 400 spike to shame...

When I dug the hole (1.2x1.2 x 2 metres deep)
I pulled out some shell like fossils.
They are molluscs and were between 4-4.5 Million years old (My Bro in law works at Cambridge Uni Dept of Zoolgy)
I wonder what they will fetch on Ebay

I was beaten to the comment by Cd...
To the americans 400 years is ANCIENT!!!
Tell them that people still use things in this country that are older than that (ok only in rare cases but still)

yeah, there's hours of fun to be had winding them up...
its really easy to convince them that tower bridge in london is at least 500 years old (rather than 115)
and that edinburgh castle was first build by the victorians (rather than 1000+)
and loads more....
