DOHC + Type 9 Box
Had a quick search but cant find anything, as far as I know all dohc sierras came attached to a mt75 box, my question is will a dohc bolt up to a type
9? as i have a type 9 sat in my garage and have been offered a 2.0 dohc for nothing
Hping its a yes as it will get me one step closer to IVA and then being able to swap for a propper engine

Yes, dohc pressure plate with type 9 friction plate.
Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

Ah just remembered the dohc and its meaty flywheel which can cause problems - Usual route is to take some meat off of it.
I'll look for the relevant info as my memory is not what it was

the double OHC is a bit heavey and lacks tuning potential, its worth considering what you want out of the car before fitting this type ogf motor. If
its more power in time then I would go for a Pinto as a minimum or a zetec
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

not really bothered about performance, this is only a stop gap to get the car on the road whilst I save and precure the bits for the engine i plan to
put in the car later

I have a DOHC sitting that was going to go into my mk1 escort, when I was reading up on it I read a cvh flywheel will fit and be lighter etc etc.
Not sure which one but or if indeed was true as I ended up going down a different route.

If you fit the DOHC now, fitting a Zetec later will be a doddle, inlet and exhaust on the same side.

Got a spare MT75 box if you want it going very cheap. OBviously will bolt straight on.
Have gone DOHC and MT75 myself as it came with the donor. If you want to come and have a look at a 4 seater and and DOHC install and pick my brains
and get an MT75 gbox into the bargain send me a u2u and we can exchange no.s

The engine turned out to have no ancillaries, so I purchased myself a pinto 205 block off ebay last night., it comes with all ancillaries etc keeps
things nice and simple, and was pretty resonable at £80 I think?
