redtop batteries,will i have got away with it?
how do redtop batteries cope with recharging?just went to start my car,after well,probably xmas time and its flat!will run the pump but not kick it
over.whats the chances it'll jump back into life or is it likely goosed now?

acording to the optima site ( I ssume its an optima redtop?)
- Less deterioration due to deep discharge than conventional batteries
- More "cycles" before aging than conventional batteries
- Faster charging is possible compared with conventional batteries!
So it would seem you should have no problems

I have had to charge my one up for the first time this winter, seems alright now though.

They get recharged every time you run the car. So long as it's not actualy died then it should charge fine.

Put it onto charge, don't jump start it.. You'll find out if you have got away with it soon enough! In principle if it's not got
bellow 10.5V you stand a good chance of success..

be careful recharging these gel batteries they are meant to be charged with a special charger not a normal car battery charger.
you can do it with a normal charger but i would suggest using no more than 1amp and keeping an eye on it all the time.
Anything With Tits or Wheels Will cost you MONEY!!

Not sure if you succeed or not? Some charges (C-TEC) have a de-sulphation mode that is supposed to be able to bring back heavly discharged batteries.

The Odyssey/Varely batteries aren't gel types. They can be safely charged with normal battery chargers according to the manufacturers, though I
wouldn't be using a very high current charger on the smaller batteries.
