What Do We Think of This? (BEC)

RIOT Linky

Particularly interested in folks thoughts about:

Price
Engine Choice
Chain Drive Maintenance (is it as much of a PITA as I suspect it would be)
Reverse Assy
Ease (or Otherwise) of IVA

Cheers!

A brand new Sylva with race weight bodywork and 13" revolutions, all powered by a GSXR1000 engine and you're wondering whether or not it's a good thing ?

FFS man...

Regarding the reverse, it's hardly as if you're a million miles away from Mr. BEC Reverse himself, is it ?

Price seems quite fair.
Still enough finishing to do that you get to choose how it turns out without it looking like a tarts handbag, unlike some of the stuff you see...

... it would have to end up looking like a tarts handbag - the chassis is luminous green / yellow!

And the J15/Spectre bodywork can be retrofitted if you so desire....

AKA Minitici.

Yes, of course.

Anyway, the choice of colour of the other bits, plus the 'form follows function' ness of the wheels balances out the blingosity of the chassis.

I have spoken, and that's an end of it I tell you !

The original car is nice, but too expensive IMHO.

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1653550.htm for an IVA'd car.

or http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1598272.htm for one with a proper engine

The pricw does seem high for a unfinished car, I would like to know where the £17k has been spent.

Regarding price, if the bits listed were new then that is 17k's worth. It is like a wish-list of car parts.

On that basis, he would get more than £7.5k just selling the bits though!
