I like the MNR type scuttle. Just shows that there really is nothing new.

I wouldn't fancy the job of putting it all back together, even the carbs are in bits

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Wonder if the wing stays break as often as a Locost? The guy who rebuilt the engine Ray Walker has been dead for best part of 20 years

Austin 7 - Nostalgia!!

I used to have an old 7, but not as modified as that one. (Dear God!!! More than half century ago). Alas, it had to go, as the storage space was needed.

Time to stop dreaming - back to sorting out the "modern" version, when I get my starter.

Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

BTW - 2 bearing crank was preferred to 3 bearing version, by those who tuned this little motor. Because of design mod, middle bearing was mounted in a cast-in housing. Unfortunately, due to crankshaft whip, at higher revs, this housing tended to suffer, resulting in further bearing/cshaft damage.
