Soldering iron bargain!
NTDWM.
If you are about to start wiring, this is the must have tool for you:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120628354360&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
I have had mine for over 20 years and I am still using the original tip.
24Volt 45watt. It will do delicate electronics or solder 4 ends of 2.5mm solid together.
This is without doubt the best tool/equipment that I have ever bought.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Just picked up a Weller gas iron. It's brilliant for use on the drive without running a power line.

Yep - was using mine today (thrown out by old workplace 15 years ago) for soldering on a nipple for a cluch cable.....

I have one too (although it is slightly different to the one in that link). Not the most mobile of soldering irons but works great!
