Can you see anything that is behind you?? I originally fitted a set of motorbike mirrors, passed SVA and used them for thousands of miles. They are convex lenses and I can see behind me perfectly.

But they are a bit big and ugly. So I bought these. Tried to fit them and I couldn't get them into a position where I could see any more than a postage stamp sized section of the road behind me.

Perhaps you could get them closer to you, giving you a wider field of vision if you fitted them to a screen or roll cage.

Hi Mike,

My Indy has a full cage now and they are fitted on the cage.
They do give a fairly decent view of the road behind, coupled with a
decent interior mirror.

By the way,did you get your engine cooling issue sorted mate?

Yes and no. Fitted a replacement engine for last years FBB10 round Scottingland, but it smokes like a good un on the over run. So it's coming out and I'm going car engined.

Thinking about a Duratec, but then just noticed you are turboing the Zetec!!

Anyway, your car didn't have these mirrors last time I saw it!

Out of interest, who did your cage??

Mike

I had a pair of fireblade mirrors last time you saw it but
when i fitted the cage i couldnt see anything in the passenger side
mirror,except the cage.

These ones were bought by John after i gave him a full screen and though they
do look useless, they work very well.

I bought the cage from a mate, who didnt want it anymore.
The new zetec is almost ready to be swapped over, cant wait to try it TBH.I will
probably be scared stiff,i'm half expecting all hell to break loose at 3000rpm
