"All the electrics are fitted and working, but I've gone all daft with the minor instruments and switches. These are home-made PIC-micro based items and the software is at a very early stage. I'd love to see this car go to another PIC enthusiast who will finish the software and make it all work according to my original de-ranged master-plan and I'll happily supply the source code if the buyer wants it. Coming back to the real world however, The buyer will no-doubt want to ditch the central dash unit and replace it with off-the-shelf switches and gauges, spliced into the original work-of-art loom. It has an “Acewell” module incorporating speedo, tacho and odometer, so that shouldn't need changing. Also I've retained all the Sierra column stalks, so the sidelights, headlights, wipers, washers, indicators, hazards, ignition, starter and horn are all covered. If you dump the central dash unit, you'll just need to add switches for the heater blower and rear foglight and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature (sensors already fitted). If you want to go to town, there are also sensors for oil and fuel pressure fitted, so you could add gauges for those, along with a display for the WBo2 unit and maybe a switch for the heater water solenoid valve."

You don't say

Why was there nothing like this for sale when I sold my Indy?! And I'm now too far through my Sprite rebuild to stop.
