chop saw.... maybe

Just bought a compound mitre saw from Aldi for £26. Quality is not great but it is 1200W and slices through timber well.
Gonna fit an angle grinder slitter blade and see how it works with steel

Also 600A power packs with compressor/lamp at Netto for £19.99

I will.
Of all the machines and equipment I use at work its abrasive wheels which scare me the most. I don't like the way the gaping wounds don't bleed

Check the max rpm on the blade and the saw and the centre diameter. Sawblades are usually 20mm and grinder blades up to 9" 22mm so there wil be some play. Also there are differences in quality of abrasives. I ran out of blades from screwfix so I bought a couple of 14" from machine mart and was surprised at the difference The MM blades were dismal in comparison giving clouds of dust and vibrating a lot more than screwfix ones.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
