light weight zetec bottom pullys

Has anyone put a light weight pulley on a black top zetec i have just put one on my new engine
but i have read on other fourms that it can damage the oil pump cos of crank flex.

Don't know about the oil pump but removing the harmonic damper will reduce the life of the crank through fatigue. I guess the high frequency vibration could cause issues with the pump gears.

Does the blacktop have a harmonic damper? Mine was solid.

i wouldnt worry too much there is a great big flywheel cluch gearbox prop diff and wheels attached to the other end

my original one is a lump with a rubber ring in the middle of it. i think i might put the old one back on dont want to risk it shame though it looks nice and weighs nothing.
