CVH Zetec Thermo Housing
I'm currently fitting a 1.8 cvh in my haynes.
The standard practise is to fit a 1.6 cvh thermo housing to the back of the engine, this does however foul on the chassis requiring a less than ideal
modification as it comes straight out of the back of the engine.
The thermo housing on the zetec is in the same place on the head as the cvh but exits to the side rather than straight back like the cvh.
The hole spacing for the zetec housing is different but would it be possible to tap new holes into the cvh head? I guess it depends if there are water
ways, oil ways behind?
Just a thought.

The zetec one in your pic is the last of the black top. They are weak and well known to split. Also hard to change the sensor.
I would go with one from an earlier black top or better still a silver top.
In stead of tapping the head, what about an adapter plate.
