£40 for a damaged one - could be a bargan for someone, but with no pic's of it or the damage it would make me think twice before buying....

rather deceptive calling it an 8 tonne crane when it isnt as well. My piston is probably rated around that, but the crane is 500-1500kgs depending on
how much you extand the arm.

^^ spot on - obviously this guy never did any physics at school 
here's my 'back of the fag packet' calc....
if the crane is rated at 2 tonne, the ram at 8 tonne - say the ram acts ~500mm from the main pivot
so 8 tonne ram at 500mm, which needs to be greater than 2 tonne at a distance X (i.e. the distance from the hook to the main pivot)
8 * 0.5 > 2 * X
8 * 0.5 / 2 > X
so the max. value of X would be 2m to lift 2 tonne and thats without any saftey factors
