Don't forget it's a disconnector, not a switch.

I recall seeing similar that had a small (3amp) fuse in parallel to keep the clock working, but would blow if the engine was cranked on it,......

nice idea though

Used to be sold branded as a 'discarnect' IIRC, Dad had them on his cars back in the early 90s and used to discarnect them when he went on holiday or left them standing for a few weeks.

got one on my car and its really handy cause i have a slight drain that i cant find, so i disconnect the battery and it will fire up when needed.

make sure you put on negative, tried on the positive first and it caused problems.

Why do you need to fit it to the neg side? I am about to fit one, but I was going to fit it on the +ve 'channel'.
