Needed: USB to Serial (RS232) cable near Glossop
Hi
I am hoping I can find someone fairly near to Glossop who I can buy/borrow a USB to serial cable.
I am desperate to get my MNR on the road and need to sort the Digidash but I dont have the cable.
If you can help please msg me.

I Had just spotted the Maplin item. Stockport branch is only down the road.
Just hoping the cable works. Used these USB to serial adaptors before and they never seem to be 100%.
Off to Maplins first thing as buying from eBay is a no no due to not wanting to wait for delivery.

If you go Maplin, dont forget to download the latest drivers from their site (in the tesxt of the advert)
You will spend a lot of wasted time, if you dont.... Guess how I know that!
Have fun.
Not all USB/Serial adaptors faithfully follw the RS232 spec, so you may have to fiddle with the settings depending on what you are doing.
It shouldnt be a problem, just worthwile beign aware of this.
