Sensible answer-
Mine came from the scrap yard - thrown in for free with a job lot of other bits.
I figured this was a good practice approach for IVA purposes as as the horn would be OEM standard.

Seconded! Though I think they're now marketed as something other than Stebel.

Air horns are NBG you have to keep oiling them and if they and there is a distinct delay before they sound which can be a second or two if they
haven't been used for a while.
Lucas, Fiam or Stebel horns are good, Bosch not great.
Avoid disc style horns unless you are really short of space.
If you just want a horn fit a single hi-note horn.
If you want a grown-up mellow sound get a matched hi-low pair of Lucas horns off a 52 or earlier Rover --- very easy to remove from the

This.
I have the compact version, and to be honest, although a nice noise, it could be louder!
Given the louder exhaust, you want a horn with a punch imo, being a smaller car sometimes lorries and the like need a reminder that you are there as
they start to pull out in front of you.
Dont use it much, but its nice to know its going to be heard if you do reach for it.

Only way to get a nice harmonic sound is a pair high note and a low note pair. I have just upgraded the tin top single horn to a pair off an
older model, it was worth the effort.
