Very interesting! The thread you refer to prompted me to look at RX8s and there are loads out there with knackered rotary motors going for very little money. It doesn't seem a huge task to fit an inline 4 engine either.

How much of the original ECU system is still intact and working?? If any "safety systems" have been disabled or the car has any check engine lights the car won't pass the MOT.

Is that right?!?!?

I have a complete & running saab 95 sitting around if anyone's thinking of doing the same ? 2.3 litre petrol with less than 100 on the clock.
