Renault Clio 197
Clio 197 Renaultsport in Albi Blue.
2007 07 with circa 83000 miles, full MoT history to verify.
Current MoT till Mar 2016, have no doubt it would pass no issues, and I will add a fresh MoT if sale price is right. 4 former keepers, at least last 2
ladies .
Cam and Aux belts done about 5000 miles ago, all genuine parts with correct tools by myself!, (4th time of doing them on 172/182/197s.)
Climate, Xenon lights with corner illumination, Sony H/U with USB/Ipod control.
Standard 4 pot Brembos (silver) with Brand new genuine Brembo front discs and pads. New N/S front wheel bearing.
2 brand new, 2 nearly new Pirelli tyres.
Cup chassis with anthracite wheels (some rash, 1 or 2 in need of refurb if really fussy, but all straight and no dents.)
Usual standard items inc: Proper keyless entry, i.e leave key in pocket/bag (1 key), Elec windows, mirrors, trip computer)
Body work is good but has some age related marks and scratches but no dents.
Mechanically the car is faultless with lots spent in last few months getting it up to scratch, only for sale due to purchase of new more economic
car.
Currently SORN, Car is in Basingstoke
£4250 ono

Was the cup chassis added later? All cup chassis cars had red brembos from factory.

Not sure tbh. not as simple to spot as 172/182. the 197 option list was muh more complex.
Our previous one was non cup and that had the red brembos! Ir has anthracites alloys and is lower than our non cup, so assumed cup chassis, but
these could have been added by previous owner.

Good luck with the sale, these are awesome cars for the money, we have had ours for a few yeas now and love it.
I still get a buzz driving it around and its a quick little car that grips nearly as good as the porker.
My only gripe is the flat spot on ours but that's easily solved by not letting the revs drop

Try an RS tuner by fast chip. raved a lot amongst the 172/182 guy's, pretty sure the 197s work well with it too.

yeah, i think thats why renault went to turbo on the latest, they just tuned the na to the limit of practical performance.

Now reduced to 3995ovno
Also now has a years Mot (till feb 2017)
Also confirmed as NON cup - (spring colour codes denote standard) so anthracite wheels are indeed a latter addition.
