Not sure i understand the water rail,at stafford i only saw one zetec with it fitted as the rest including westfield just bend a tube round top rail.

Mine works OK 82 degree stat with a single 3mm hole drilled in it), Nissan micra rad and no heater.

Just remember you will also need a themostat housing gasket (about £3 from FORD IIRC)

didn't pay anywhere near £80 for mine tho
