Amazing what junk people will bid for --- a pedal box a scuttle and some very scruffy bodywork.
I have seen a couple of Catervans go through ebay as parts because they were cat B write offs which wouldn't have been difficult to
re-chassis -- but this is something else.

A lot of money for some cra**y locost donor parts. Fool/money/parted leaps to mind. It looks more like the car was cut up as a write off, and
somebody walked away with the bits they wanted.
