8K reserve not met....
Andy
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Not actually a Lotus, then; hedging his bets with "Lotus Seven Series 3 Racing Green Classic Car Caterham". Certainly unlilkely to eb a
Lotus if it's 1978

I agree. Its most unlikly a true lotus seven. The very lotus register page he refers to in his advert says the following:
LOTUS 7 REGISTER
~ Introduction ~
The idea of this web page is as a source of reliable information for owners and would be owners of Lotus Sevens [Series One to Four - 1957 to 1973].
All information on the site is taken from original Lotus sales brochures, Lotus factory records, Lotus Seven Owners Manuals and the catalogues of the
companies that supplied Lotus then. ...
Series Three Page
~ Original Specifications ~
WHEN PRODUCED:
September 1968 to 1970.....
Series Four Page
~ Original Specifications ~
WHEN PRODUCED:
Circa March 1970 to August 1973 then by Caterham Cars....
Aug-1973 Series Four production taken over by Caterham Cars
