PS stands for pferdestaerke, and they're are almost the same as bhp - 280 PS is the same as 276bhp, so hardly any difference. (Also
explains where the Japanese got their strange 276bhp limit - it's actually a much more round number of 280PS)

Not quite,
1 PS = 75 m.kgf/s = 735.49875 W = 1.013869665424 hp
It's no longer an officially recognised unit and is only used in the motor industry nowadays, no idea why though...

The motor industry use PS because it makes it sound like they have that bit more power. Also some use iso or din to do the same. These are different
methods of calculating crank power from output power.

I didn't know that . Translated from German to English that means horsepower. Das Pferd=horse, stark= strong or powerful. Does that mean their
horses are not as strong as ours then?

i have to ask what gearbox do they use to suit the audi engine cus the 5v audi engine would be a very nice choice in a locost
i have also seen that donkervort use the same engine in there seven
it probably a special belhousing that cost more than my whole car
