£550 starting bid on a new 3.38 LSD sierra diff is a bit steep. Nice though but I can't help but think that 3.14 would have been the ratio to go for if building up a non-standard diff. where do you get new sierra diffs from? I wouldn't have thought that there were places with them just hanging around.

Well, it probably is a bargain if you were going to buy one new from classic conversions anyway.

It all falls down when us kitcar people WEREN'T going going to buy one new.

We'd just pay 40 quid for a non slipper, and put the other 500 odd quid into something else.

Or, buy one from donospares for 200 quid (which is top money anyhow, IF theyve got one)

Law of diminishing returns.

woohoo i feel like iv had a bargain then .a m8 has just converted my 3.14 into an lsd using the bits from my spare 3.62 so include buying the diff and seals its cost a total of £240
how much would that be worth cuz if a 3.38 is like rocking horse sh1t a 3.14 must be like finding a packet of chicken lips

maybe not,,iv just looked at the link again and missed the brand new bit

New Sierra diffs available from Power Products dealers, specifically being produced for the specialist car makers.

Only with CV flanges, last time I asked.

Syd.
