GROUP BUY - Escort/cortina hubcentric wheel spacers
I mentioned on here a few days ago, that I was having a quote done for some hubcentric, aluminium wheel spacers.
I now have the quote back, and although I will continue shpping around, I would love to know how many of you folk would be interested. A few points to
consider:
- To fit escort/cortina hub (63.2mm diameter, 108 PCD), and currently designed to fit onto a MWS Minilite, with 67.4mm hub diamter (I think this value
is fairly standard, but stand to be corrected)
- Standard thickness is 15mm, others possible, but would be considered as 'wun-offs'
- Machined from a solid billet of aerospace grade aluminium alloy (alloy details available if required)
- The cost gets cheaper the more I can order of one size
- I would be able to offer different sizes, but the cost for 'wun-offs' would be the full price as if I was ordering just 4
- If lots of people want a particular type/size, I may be able to look into cost for them to reduce overall cost
Currently, the cost varies from around £30 to £50 per spacer depending on numbers. I appreciate this is high, but remember, they are much lighter than
the usual steel equivalents (approx 700g each) and they are not generic - they are designed specifically for these hubs, and they are hubcentric so
should be trouble and worry free!
If I am able to get lots of interest, then the price falls even further.... Please let me know if you would be interested in a group buy. Many thanks.

From the 1st quote I have had, yes, it is each! I know, that is a lot, which is why I will speak to some other machine shops for a better price. It is
really difficult to get a decent quote when you don't know how many to quote for. That is why I am trying to establish exact numbers
interested....
Aluminium wheel spacers
These are as close as I can find to what I want (except they are for a Sierra) - but look at the price!
To be fair, £30 each (£60 the pair) is cheaper than any other aluminium spacers I have found... Most are either around £100 the pair, or cheaper and
steel (heavy).

I am sure we all appreciate the work you are doing twybrow but I doubt that there will be many takers at that price. I am fairly certain there are
some well known brand names like Eibach selling similar spacers in
'aircraft alloy' for the same or less (£75 a pair in this case)
There is always
this sort of thing on eBay - not sure about quality though.

Ok, no probs. Why is it I can never find these things on ebay - I have looked for them loads of times, and they rarely pop up at that price!?
It would only really be viable with a stack load being made (or shipping from Taiwan!). Thanks for the heads-up!

Are all ford hubs the same size? I thought the Sierra was quite different to escort/cortina?

well I don't know about the escort/ cortina hubs - but I can tell you the sierra is a 4x108 PCD with M12x1.5 studs and a 63.3 ctr bore
