maplin angle grinders
just been looking for angle drive components on the maplin website for our uni project and it threw up 600w 115mm angle grinders for £7.99 a piece.
don't know if that's with vat, or if they're available at trade counters, but at that price, i'd reckon it's worth
finding out.
diamond disc sets for £4.99 too. 2x wire brush wheels and 2x diamond discs

The cheaper maplin angle ginders fall apart -- the gear box screws vibrate loose -- nothing a bit of Locite won't fix if caught in time
before the gears strip.
The discs are cheap and nasty --- it always pays to buy quality discs the cheaper one don't last, don't cut or grind well and have a
nasty burning smell in use.

they're diamond discs so i hope you won't be cutting steel with them! never had a problem with cheap diamond discs though i've
never used an expensive one.
i agree about metal cutting discs though
