Just read their first page.....You have to supply your renewal notice so they can offer you 1p under your renewal quote. So they will be able to beat
all quotes so nobody will get a free years insurance.
But if someone forged a really cheap renewal quote, A&L have their get out clause.... This offer can be withdrawn at any time.....does not state
if this means globally or per individual......
Someone trying to be clever in marketing.....

nothing clever about it; churchill did the same; I even rang them up and they offered to beat my best quote (privilege) by £ 1 (?). (I elected to
stay with same company rather than mesa bout for the sake of a pound or so.)
makes you wonder why they quote so high in the first place and then are able to drop below the price of your best quote.
I wonder if you can get two companies on phone at same time and go to and fo between them until they are paying you to insure your car with them?
Bottom line is insurance companies are not cahriteis - you will end up paying no matter what!

According to the "Money saving expert" site (Martin Lewis) they've NEVER given out any free insurance.
Their get-out clause is "we can't insure you on that vehicle" therefore they can't give you the years free >

Wouldn't have been too difficult in this case they are the same company.

Yeah. Admiral and Churchill are different. The big dog (actually Royal Bank Of Scotland) ownes Direct Line, Churchill, Nig to name but three the also
underwrite the policies branded by Tesco. Most of the business in the UK is a few companies, I doubt there are any more than 12 and probably most it
falls within about three (RBS, HSBOS and Aviva).
